Product Description

SLICPOD-O is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic available as an oral suspension. Formulated with cefpodoxime proxetil, it provides effective treatment against a broad range of bacterial infections with excellent palatability for pediatric patients.

Recommended Dosage
  • Adults: 10ml (100mg) twice daily or as directed by physician
  • Children (6 months - 12 years): 8mg/kg/day divided into 2 doses
  • Infants (2-6 months): As directed by pediatrician
  • Duration: 5-10 days or as prescribed

Preparation: Shake well before use. Add required amount of clean water to powder, shake vigorously until completely dissolved.

Administration: Take with or without food. Use provided measuring cup/spoon or syringe for accurate dosing.

Important: Complete the full course even if symptoms improve. Do not skip doses to prevent antibiotic resistance.

Important Precautions
  • Inform your doctor about any allergies to penicillin or cephalosporins
  • Complete the full course as prescribed by your physician
  • Do not share with others or use for different infections
  • Shake the bottle well before each use
  • Refrigerate after reconstitution and use within 14 days
  • Inform doctor if pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning pregnancy
  • Report any severe allergic reactions immediately

  • May cause gastrointestinal upset - take with food if needed
  • Do not use if you have a history of severe kidney or liver disease
Therapeutic Indications
  • Upper respiratory tract infections (pharyngitis, tonsillitis, sinusitis)
  • Lower respiratory tract infections (bronchitis, pneumonia)
  • Urinary tract infections (uncomplicated)
  • Skin and soft tissue infections
  • Otitis media (middle ear infection)
  • Uncomplicated gonorrhea
  • Other susceptible bacterial infections

Mechanism of Action: Inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to penicillin-binding proteins, leading to bacterial cell death.

Spectrum: Active against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria including Streptococcus, Staphylococcus, E. coli, Klebsiella, and Proteus.

Note: Effective only against bacterial infections, not viral infections like common cold or flu.
